SOPOT STYLE

By Christina’s Restaurant

Ingredients (1 portion):

1 tilapia fish fillet
2 eggs
Bread Crumbs
1 teaspoon of herbs you like
Salt
Pepper
Frying oil

Sauce:
1/2 medium-size onion
1/2 of medium-sized fresh sweet red pepper
Hot paprika flakes
7-8 medium size mushrooms

French fries seasoned with spicy paprika

PREPARATION

Wash tilapia fillet under cool water salt and pepper it evenly

Break eggs into a bowl, mix with a fork, add a few pinches of herbs, 2 pinches of salt and mix it. Dump on a flat plate bread crumbs. Dredge the fish in egg mixture and then in bread crumbs evenly. Repeat the action twice.

Put the fish on previously heated pan with oil so that it was fried deep in the oil on a medium flame. Fry for approx. 10 minutes so that the fish is juicy and golden brown.

SAUCE

To prepare the sauce: chop onion in quite large stripes (2-inch long), chop paprika in thin short pieces (1inch). Fry the two in separate well heated pans, make the onion golden-brown; paprika has to be soft and juicy but not well fried. Also fry thick-chopped slices of mushrooms so that they are soft but not golden-brown. Add salt. After they all are done – move them to a shallow pot and stew them on a moderate flame so that the juices contained in mushroom mixed with remaining vegetables making sauce (approx. 7 minutes). Add some hot paprika flakes accordingly to individual preferences.

Before the sauce is ready – put the french fries in the heated oven and bake them.

Before serving tilapia fish – put it on a paper towel to drain the fat. Next to the fish put the French fries and then cover tilapia with vegetable sauce. Serve it with a piece of lemon.

In order to accent the summer character of fish, use as a beverage well chilled Żywiec beer. Enjoy!!!
